Chianti Classico DOCG – 2021 – Isole e Olena

Chianti Classico DOCG Isole e Olena is made from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Syrah grapes, hand-harvested from the hills of Barberino Val d’Elsa in the province of Florence. The vineyards are located at an average altitude of around 450 meters.

The wine is aged for 12 months in barriques and other oak barrels of various sizes.

It shows a bright ruby red color. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and blackberry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes, floral hints of violet and lavender, and aromatic herbs like thyme.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with the lively acidity typical of Sangiovese, well-integrated tannins, and a persistent finish with a slightly bitter note that adds elegance and depth. Further bottle aging will enhance its complexity and harmony.
