Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Riserva – Vigna Pedale 2017 – Torrevento

This wine, made from 100% Nero di Troia, an indigenous grape of Puglia, undergoes 8 months of aging in stainless steel followed by 12 months in large oak barrels.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color.

The nose is intense, with aromas of fresh and ripe red fruits like cherry and raspberry, accompanied by hints of plum jam, black cherry, and blackberry. Spicy notes of black pepper and clove emerge, along with a subtle balsamic touch.

On the palate, it is powerful, with well-structured, polished tannins, good elegance, freshness, and balance. The flavors mirror the nose, with an emphasis on red and black fruit preserves.

The finish is long and persistent.
