Deep ruby in color, it opens with an intense and complex nose featuring ripe black fruits like black plums and blackberries, alongside forest floor and spice notes.
On the palate, it’s full-bodied with a firm medium acidity, pronounced tannins, warmth, and good persistence. The concentrated fruit flavors mirror the nose. Well-balanced, though slightly leaning toward firmness, not common for this style.
A well-crafted Ripasso, less crowd-pleasing than many others, but appreciated for its bold character and power.
Likely to improve further with bottle aging.
