Bolgheri Rosso DOC – Claríce 2022 – Dario di Vaira

This wine is crafted using a Bordeaux blend that slightly varies depending on the vintage. The 2022 vintage consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot.

It undergoes a 9-month aging process, with 50% in first- and second-use barriques, while the remainder is split between cement tanks and tonneaux.

The wine presents a deep ruby red color.

On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries, herbaceous notes, hints of spices, subtle oak, and a touch of toastiness.

On the palate, it is elegant, with pronounced aromas, medium+ acidity, a medium+ body, and firm yet already well-integrated tannins.

It shows excellent balance and a long finish.

While it is ready to drink now, it will reach its full potential in a few years.
