Crafted from hand-harvested Sagrantino and Sangiovese grapes, this wine undergoes fermentation 70% in wooden barrels and 30% in steel. Its 15-month maturation follows a similar pattern, with 70% in wood.
The color is an intense ruby red. The nose reveals vibrant aromas of violet, crisp cherry and red plum, enriched by subtle woody and peppery notes.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, with pronounced flavors of fresh red fruits and a distinctive peppery touch. A well-balanced acidity complements the wine’s softness, while the bold tannins of Sagrantino are already notably refined.
The finish is moderately long and pleasantly satisfying.
This wine pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as classic Roman cacio e pepe or carbonara.
Ready to drink now, it also has the potential to age gracefully in the bottle for a few years.
