This Riesling comes from the prestigious Grand Cru Ollwiller, located in the commune of Wuenheim, in the Haut-Rhin area of Alsace, France.
The vineyard is part of the Alsace Grand Cru AOC and is one of the rarest and smallest Grand Crus in the region, recognized for producing wines with elegance, strength, and marked minerality.
The 2022 vintage is vinified as a dry white wine, showcasing a luminous pale yellow color with green reflections.
On the nose, it delivers delicate floral and citrus aromas, followed by notes of flint and wet stone, typical of the terroir.
The palate is linear, fresh, and vibrant, driven by a precise acidity that balances the mineral structure and a light body.
This Riesling is an excellent match for noble dishes such as sea bream fillet, scallops carpaccio, or lemon tart. Best enjoyed at 10–12°C and has aging potential of up to 15 years.
The wine is bottled by the Vieil Armand cooperative, which unites growers from the surrounding area and is one of the few cooperatives managing a Grand Cru plot.
