Carmignano DOCG – Villa di Capezzana 2020 – Capezzana

A blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine undergoes partial aging: 50% in tonneaux for 12 months and the remainder in large barrels for 16 months, followed by 12 months of bottle refinement.

In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby red color.

The nose is intense, offering ripe fruit notes of cherry, black cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, elegantly complemented by non-overpowering vegetal hints of bell pepper and smoky nuances. The aromatic bouquet is further enriched by subtle spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and clove.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, with well-structured tannins in development, balanced freshness, and remarkable aromatic intensity accompanied by a mineral touch.

The finish is persistent.

A distinguished yet approachable wine with great aging potential, perfect for both immediate enjoyment and long-term evolution.
