Etna DOC – Pussenti Nerello Mascalese 2021 – Eno Trio

This Etna DOC is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese, sourced from 80-100-year-old vines grown on volcanic soils at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level on the northern slope of Mount Etna.

Most of the vines are ungrafted. Fermentation is spontaneous, reflecting the authentic character of the terroir.

In the glass, it reveals a brilliant, deep ruby red color.

The nose is intense, offering aromas of ripe red forest fruits such as raspberry and wild strawberry, complemented by spices, a hint of vanilla, and floral undertones reminiscent of violets.

On the palate, it is elegant yet powerful, dry, warm, and smooth, with a medium body and balanced acidity. The tannins are silky and delicate, while the fruit flavors are enhanced by a notable sapidity and minerality. The finish is long and persistent.

An outstanding wine with great aging potential, promising to develop beautifully in the bottle over many years.
