This wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes from the Falerno del Massico DOC, harvested slightly overripe. It ages for 12 months in new French oak barriques.
The color is a deep, impenetrable ruby red.
The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, plum, undergrowth, violet, and black pepper.
On the palate, it is soft, enveloping, with smooth tannins, medium acidity, and full body. Notes of cooked fruit and clove add complexity.
Excellent persistence with a long, rich finish.
