Mursa Sauvignon Blanc 2023 comes from the Nunska Graba vineyard, located on the western slope of a moderately steep hill in the Ljutomer-Ormož area of Štajerska Slovenija, at 280 meters above sea level.
The site enjoys cold continental winters, sunny summers with cool nights, and a breezy microclimate on loamy sandy-clay soils.
Hand-harvested and gently destemmed, the wine matured on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for six months before bottling in April 2024.
In the glass, it shows a crystal-clear pale straw color with greenish reflections and dense texture.
The nose is expressive and varietal, marked by notes of green pepper, mint, fresh grass, green apple, elderflower, and white peach, with a subtle flinty undertone.
On the palate, it’s vibrant, soft yet refreshing, with a lively minerality and a persistent, fruity aftertaste.
It’s an elegant and medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc that delivers typicity with character, ideal on its own or paired with herb-based appetizers.
