From the left bank of the Tanaro River, in the lesser-known Roero DOCG, this 100% Nebbiolo showcases the distinct character of its sandy soils, which impart greater finesse and fragrance compared to its more famous neighbors, Barolo and Barbaresco, located across the river on the right bank.
Produced by a well-established winery, this Roero Riserva ages for about two years in oak barrels followed by 12 months in bottle, developing complexity while preserving its vibrant, expressive nature.
The wine presents an intense ruby red color with good brightness.
The nose is refined and elegant, revealing notes of violet, ripe crunchy cherry, blood orange, pencil shavings, and a delicate touch of vanilla.
On the palate, it offers impressive structure, body, and softness, with well-structured tannins that are still evolving. The aromatic intensity aligns with the nose, while a medium-plus acidity adds freshness and balance.
A subtle salinity further supports the long, aromatic finish.
