100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) from the Fracia vineyard in the Valgella subzone of the Valtellina Superiore DOCG.
Harvested late October for higher sugar concentration, it matures in second-passage French barriques for 20 months, followed by 6 months in bottle.
Intense ruby with garnet highlights and Nebbiolo’s trademark transparency. Aromas of violet, ripe cherry, plum, clove, and rhubarb. Powerful yet balanced palate with elegant tannins, noticeable salinity, and bright acidity.
Long finish.
